Heya! I recently hit 400000 pageviews and made like a Kiriban thing! Turned out three people caught it, so this is only the first one haha : D I think it's a really nice tradition though, doing this, something that separates dA from other sites, it's a bit like children making sand cakes for each other!

Sooo this one is for

, it's her character Salukia, although I'm afraid I kind of... drifted a bit away from the original design Ö_Ö I hope you don't mind Giz!

Anyways, I reaaaally enjoyed this one, I don't usually work this stylized, I always used to think naaah you gotta be all realistic and shit, but damn it's fun to just go crazy for once! Actually, it's not a bad idea to concentrate on staying true to how nature works and all, but the expressiveness and liveliness that crazy abstraction seems to provide is... more rewarding than I used to think! O_O

Steps and layered psd file!

Done in PS CS3 as usual, done without refs as usual (except for the character design of course!), took about 2-3 days working on and off.
